The National Rating Agency has assigned its national scale ‘AAA’ reliability rating and its global scale ‘iA-‘ credit rating to Barents Re Reinsurance Company, Inc. (Barents Re).

The ratings are supported by Barents Re’s many years’ market presence, specifically in its niche areas, its high geographic diversification, persistently low combined ratio in the past few years, growing profitability metrics and conservative investment strategy. The company has a healthy solvency margin and a strong liquidity position.
